If you love animals but can’t adopt, foster! Foster families provide temporary, in-home care for animals in Houston and the surrounding areas until they find adoptive homes. Not only is it easy, fun and one of the most rewarding things you can do for a homeless animals and for yourself, fostering gives an animal the love and attention he or she desperately needs, greatly increasing his or her chances of being adopted.

National Volunteers help to Save Them All in a variety of ways from locations all across America. These may include: assisting with an assortment of tasks or projects remotely from their own homes, and/or volunteering at local live (or virtual) events such as the Best Friends National Conference, or Strut Your Mutt.

• The current minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old but Best Friends determines which volunteer positions are appropriate for minor volunteers.

• If you are 15 or younger, your parent or guardian must create their own volunteer account first and will be required to approve your account.

• Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering.  Each adult can supervise up to 2 minors during a volunteer shift.
