We’re this close – Los Angeles is now on the verge of becoming No Kill – but only if we pull together right now. Please help by fostering a special-needs pet.
Why fostering is important
Many of the medical cases are at risk of dying in city shelters due to lack of placement. We have a fixed kennel capacity at our center so the only way we can save these animals is with the help of foster homes!
How it works
We've tailored our foster program to make it as easy as possible, give you the support you need, and work with you to find the best match possible for your home and lifestyle. Discover how incredibly fulfilling and fun it can be to foster a special-needs pet.
As a foster you provide the space and time to care for the pet. We’ll give you all food, supplies and medical support the animal will need while in your care.
Our team will pair you with an animal that best matches your abilities and home environment. We’ll also take into consideration if you have other pets in the home and if you have the capacity to keep animals separate.
Examples of medical cases we see in our program:
Time commitment will vary per animal. You should expect to have a medical foster in your home for at least 8 weeks. If you’re open to taking on a longer-term commitment, we’ll happily place you with an appropriate match.
