Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a dog foster with Best Friends Animal Society - Los Angeles. We're so excited to have your help!
Why fostering is important
By opening your home to an animal in need, we're able to go rescue another at-risk animal from the city shelter. We have a fixed kennel capacity at our center so the only way we can save these animals is with the help of foster homes! In addition, you provide helpful information about the dog's in-home and out of kennel behavior which provides adopters valuable information.
How it works
We've tailored our foster program to make it as easy as possible, give you the support you need, and work with you to find the best match possible for your home and lifestyle. Discover how incredibly fulfilling and fun it can be to foster a dog!
As a foster you provide the space and time to care for the pet. We’ll give you all food, supplies and medical support the animal will need while in your care.
Our team will pair you with a dog that best matches your abilities and home environment. We’ll also take into consideration if you have other pets in the home and if you have the capacity to keep animals separate.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in our foster program.
If you are under 18, you are welcome to foster alongside a parent or guardian. Please have them complete our foster on-boarding process below.
