Best Friends LA is looking for qualified interns to join our team.
The Community Engagement and Outreach Intern assists the City Engagement Manager in analyzing LA City data, engaging with NKLA Coalition members and doing research on topics to help benefit the animals in the City of LA.
The NKLA Coalition is comprised of over 150 rescue partners in support of LA Animal Services (LAAS) who services about 48,000 pets annually all with a goal of helping LAAS achieve and sustain a 90% save rate. Interns should be prepared to join a fast-paced environment and finish the internship having gained broad experience in shelter operations, community engagement efforts, and the ability to make policy and operations recommendations to improve the lives of pets using complex data sources as your guide.
